Minerals North 2009: 21st Annual Conference

Minerals North 2009: 21st Annual Conference
April 21-23 2009, Fort St. James, BC
Fort St. James is looking forward to hosting the 21st Minerals North Conference from April 21-23 2009.

The conference brings the minerals industry together with a broad spectrum of people in northern BC communities: municipal and aboriginal representatives, business people, contractors, students and environmentalists.

Online Registration is now open. To register via fax or mail visit the registration information page.

The objectives of the conference are to:

  • Establish contacts and build working relationships
  • Inform communities about mining and exploration projects and issues
  • Hold a dialogue on the impacts and benefits of mining

Minerals North is sponsored by a different community in northern BC each year and attracts 200-400 people. Past conferences have been held throughout the north in Prince Rupert, Terrace, Smithers, Houston, Fort St. James, Mackenzie, Prince George, Stewart and Tumbler Ridge. Any surpluses from the conference are re-invested in ways that will contribute to the sustainability of the host communities, the region and the industry.

The warm hospitality that derives from community involvement ensures that Minerals North is distinct from any other mining conference in British Columbia. We hope you can participate!
